Propolis is a luxury, 100% organic, and fully sustainable anti-aging skincare line that was born of the ethos of Burt’s Bees and Tazo Tea. Burt’s Bees has long been a pioneer of all natural skin care while maintaining a strong commitment to the environment and bee colony health. Tazo Tea focuses on the experience of their signature tea blends acquired from regions and cultures the world over and re-investing in the communities with which they work. Together, these two companies have pushed their boundaries even further and created the Propolis skin care line in which the honeybee became the mascot and tea inspired the ingredient blends.
The logo and packaging were inspired by ideas surrounding bees as a symbol of community, environmental health, and the delicate communication between all living things. The name, Propolis, is a material bees make to repair cracks in their hives and the hexagonal honey comb shape is applied in surprising ways throughout. The logo vibrates or echoes out from the center hinting at communication and the rounded bottle shapes are modeled after different classes of bees within the hive society. The ingredients themselves create the experience of tea-inspired blends. Packed with antioxidants and other natural wrinkle prevention goodness, it’s the perfect skin care solution that is not only good for you, but good for the environment.
